Amazon this week has a massive sale across the MacBook Air lineup, including both the M2 and M3 MacBook Air models. We tracked many of these deals from Best Buy last week, but Amazon's sales this week don't require any exclusive membership, and in some cases they're even beating the low prices from last week.

Starting with the M2 MacBook Air, Amazon is offering up to $254 off these models, including a new all-time low price on the 512GB model. Prices start at $799.00 for the 256GB M2 MacBook Air in all colors, and increase to $944.16 for the 512GB MacBook Air in Midnight.
For the newer models, Amazon is taking $249 off the 13-inch M3 MacBook Air with multiple all-time low prices. You can get the 256GB 13-inch M3 MacBook Air for $849.98 in every color, down from $1,099.00. Both 512GB models are on sale as well with best-ever prices.
Finally, Amazon also has the 15-inch M3 MacBook Air for $249-$250 off every model. These start at $1,049.98 for the 256GB 15-inch M3 MacBook Air, down from $1,299.00, and again include both 512GB models. Overall, every 15-inch M3 MacBook Air deal from Amazon this week represents new all-time low prices on each model, beating the deals we saw just last week by about $50.

Apple typically releases its new iPhone series in the fall, and a possible September 10 announcement date has been floated this year, which means we are just one month away from the launch of the iPhone 16. Like the iPhone 15 series, this year's lineup is expected to stick with four models – iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max – although there are plenty of design...
Apple's M3 MacBook Pro is seeing multiple high value discounts on Best Buy and Amazon today, with up to $1,000 off select models. This includes a new all-time low price on the entry-level M3 512GB 14-inch MacBook Pro at $1,299.00, down from $1,599.00, and a massive $1,000 discount on the high-end 16-inch model exclusively for Best Buy members. Multiple rumors have suggested that the iPhone 16 models are going to have an all-new button that's designed to make it easier to capture photos when the devices are held in landscape mode. Apple calls the button the Capture Button internally, and it is going to be one of the most advanced buttons that's been introduced to date with support for multiple gestures and the ability to respond to ...
Apple is beta testing iOS 18 and the first update to iOS 18 concurrently, and we got the second betas of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 today alongside the sixth betas of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia 15. Many of the changes in iOS 18.1 are focused on bringing the .1 betas in line with the standard betas, which recently received updates to Photos and Safari, while...

Apple's iPhone development roadmap runs several years into the future and the company is continually working with suppliers on several successive iPhone models simultaneously, which is why we sometimes get rumored feature leaks so far ahead of launch. The iPhone 17 series is no different – already we have some idea of what to expect from Apple's 2025 smartphone lineup. If you plan to skip...
Apple's rumored iPhone 17 "Slim" could be positioned as an iPhone "Air" to boost sales, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. In the latest edition of his "Power On" newsletter, Gurman explained how the "fourth" model in the iPhone lineup since 2020 (the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 15 Plus) has largely been a commercial failure. In the case of the Plus model,...
Sounds like they're priced closer to what they should be anyways. paying over a grand for 8gb of ram is crazy...but they'll all be replaced in a couple months anyway when m4 finally hits(which shoulda happened this summer)

Are you sure the Airs are getting the M4 this fall? I thought they weren't getting upgraded until next spring (2025).
I have actually always wanted to buy a iPad Pro 13", but it's crazy expensive, and even more outrageous if you also want a keyboard (which is a must if you want it to replace a laptop). The Air on the other hand. is close to the perfect device. It can't hold a candle to the iPad Pros screen, but hands down beat it in anything else. The rational choice is pretty clear.
FYI I bought an Ipad Pro to replace my old Ipad Air a year ago. Only got it because Target had an amazing promo ($650) that caused me to cancel my pending base ipad mail order and run to Target.
The verdict? For the price I suppose I'm happy, but I swear battery life is MUCH worse and honestly the screen is supposedly better but I just don't notice it. Yes blacks are blacker, but the regular ipad screen was already good and I would have been fine staying with that. The only noticeable thing really is the speakers are much better.
But the battery life is so bad I rarely output sound. I have a bunch of settings to maximize battery life which also affect performance (reduces some of the animations and such).
The base ipad is the absolute best buy in the entire Apple ecosystem (Mac Mini is a close second, especially if you already have KVM).
You get a device that does 98% of what their $1,000 phone does for a third the price. Actually the base of any Apple device, as long as it works for you, is typically a very good deal.
Imaging paying for a new Apple laptop in 2024 with 16gb RAM (not configurable to 24 on Amazon).
I bought the 2012 rMBP 16gb (512gb, so not totally maxed) in mid 2012 for the premium price when it was the hot stuff, and now I still use it as a viable backup, but holy hell (obviously the current Airs are generally better, but still.. 16gb was a norm for anyone doing semi-pro work over a decade ago).
